Jane Puyalgarde

Jane Pouillagard was born and works in Paris. She first took up painting after returning from a trip to Mexico in 1992, where she became interested in traditional techniques and trends in art under the influence of acquaintance with the indigenous people. In her works, she began to apply a new technique of applying paint to the canvas with the opposite tip of the brush. Each drop of acrylic paint applied by her is an independent work of art. It can consist of several layers, differ in volume and texture. It is this technique that is Jane's signature handwriting. The work takes place on a flat canvas, and then is stretched on a frame.
Jane works in her studios in Paris and on Formentera in Spain, developing her unique style and creating grandiose works. Since 2000, her paintings have been exhibited at international exhibitions in Paris, Barcelona and Geneva and are acquired by collectors and designers around the world. In France, one of her works can be seen at Fondation Imagine in Paris, designed by Jean Nouvel.
